How to raise concerns about misconduct, fraud or wrongdoing at TML - safely, confidentially and without fear of retaliation.
Last updated: 12 July 2026
This Whistleblowing Policy sets out how employees, agents, business partners, customers and members of the public can raise genuine concerns about suspected misconduct, malpractice or wrongdoing at TML Remittance Center Sdn Bhd ("TML", "we", "us" or "our") - a Money Services Business licensed and regulated by Bank Negara Malaysia (MSB Licence No. 00455). It should be read together with our Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy and Disclaimer.
As a regulated financial institution, TML is committed to the highest standards of integrity, transparency and accountability in everything we do - from how we handle customer funds to how our branches and staff conduct themselves. This policy provides a safe and confidential channel for reporting genuine concerns, and confirms that anyone who raises a concern in good faith will be protected from retaliation.
This policy applies to TML's employees, management, directors, authorised agents, branch staff, contractors and business partners, as well as customers and members of the public who wish to report a concern about TML.
You are encouraged to report any genuine concern relating to TML's business, including but not limited to:
Complaints about service quality, transaction disputes or general feedback are handled separately through our Contact page or Feedback & Reviews page, and are not the subject of this policy.
This policy is open to anyone with a genuine concern about TML's conduct or compliance - employees and management at any level, branch staff, authorised agents and business partners, as well as customers and the general public.
Reports should be made through one of the following official channels:
Where possible, please provide as much detail as you can - what happened, when and where, who was involved, and any supporting documents or evidence - so the matter can be looked into properly. Reports may be made in your own name or anonymously (see section 5).
All reports are treated in strict confidence. Your identity, if disclosed, will only be shared with those directly involved in investigating the report, and only where necessary to do so. You may also choose to report a concern anonymously; however, providing your contact details may help us investigate the matter more effectively and keep you updated on the outcome.
TML does not tolerate retaliation of any kind against anyone who raises a concern in good faith under this policy - including dismissal, demotion, harassment, discrimination or any other detrimental treatment. This protection applies even if the concern, upon investigation, turns out to be mistaken, provided it was raised honestly and in good faith.
Every report received is reviewed by management (or an appointed compliance officer, for matters concerning AML/CFT or licence compliance). We aim to acknowledge reports promptly and to investigate them thoroughly, objectively and, so far as possible, confidentially. Depending on the nature and severity of the concern, this may involve internal review, staff interviews, document checks, or escalation to Bank Negara Malaysia or the relevant authorities where required by law. Where you have provided contact details, we will endeavour to update you on the general progress and outcome of your report, subject to confidentiality and legal constraints.
This policy exists to support genuine, good-faith concerns. Deliberately making a false report, or making a report maliciously or for personal gain, is not protected under this policy and may result in disciplinary or legal action.
Nothing in this policy prevents you from reporting a concern directly to Bank Negara Malaysia (www.bnm.gov.my) or another relevant regulatory or law enforcement authority. If you suspect fraud or impersonation involving TML's name, branches or the TML Remit app, you may also contact the National Scam Response Centre (NSRC) at 997 - see our Fraud & Impersonation Warning for more information.
This Whistleblowing Policy is reviewed periodically to ensure it remains effective and consistent with applicable laws and regulatory expectations. The latest version will always be published on this page with its effective date.
